Hotstuff Chili Cook
TheThird Annual Coral Ridge Power Squadron Chili Cook-Off was held
Saturday, February 26th, 2000 at the Hugh Taylor Birch State Park
in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.   How is it possible that it could get even better!!

Everyone is getting ready... Many are in costume.
This year the brothers Ramey are working together...
Gary with "Conch Chili" and Ray doing
his wonders with liquid refreshments.

OK, everyone!
Time to eat... and there was plenty of chili, ribs, and
all kinds of side dishes...

But, what is this?  A piñata?  What a fun idea!  Ray Ramey is the
chosen one to break it open.. much to the delight of the younger
attendees, who have never seen this done before!

What a surprise... inside the piñata.. all kinds of prizes...
all labeled "Vote for Bob".......

But the ballets have been cast and the votes are being counted..

..Look at the prizes!!!

..and here are the winners!!

..Donna had the best Chili..

..Marilee and Ed, the best side dish.. but the credit
really goes to Fran Kistner and her wonderful fudge..
..and some votes for the conch chowder...

Tony and friend had the hottest chili...

Dean had the best ribs.

..and Ray had the best setup

..Jan Blade was our hostess for this event, and
wore the same outfit as last year at popular
request.  Good job, Jan!!

..and what does she say?
CHICKS RULE!!!

Last but not least.. THANK YOU to our wonderful cooks!
